I had a moderate bunion on my left foot that would become red, painful and swollen after I had been on my feet for a while.
What did your pain or other symptoms prevent you from doing?
I am a flight attendant, so am on my feet all day. It was becoming increasingly difficult for me to do my job due to the pain in my foot. I had problems finding shoes that looked nice and fit well, and had started to buy a half size larger. I also hike a lot and could not find hiking boots that fit well due to my bunion.
Why did you choose Dr. Neufeld and Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Center?
I researched online and saw that Dr. Neufeld was doing minimally invasive bunion surgery. I liked the idea of only having to take six weeks off work. I made an appointment to meet Dr. Neufeld, and when I did, I felt confident he would do a good job of my surgery.
What procedure/treatment did you have done?
I had minimally invasive bunion surgery on my left foot, big toe.
How did you feel after your treatment?
My whole treatment went EXACTLY as Dr. Neufeld said it would. I felt fine after my treatment and my recovery went according to plan. Surgeons have quoted me recovery times in the past and I found them to be unrealistic. I was pleased that my recovery only took six weeks, just as I was told it would.
